WHAT IS LIVE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE?

SHAPE YOUR FUTURE ON YOUR OWN TERMS

For Schools Across London and Beyond | 2026–27 Term-time

Real work. Real projects. Real industry.

Our Live Industry Experience programme brings young people into the world of work through sustainable fashion — giving them the chance to meet professionals, experience workplaces, take on real responsibilities and create work for genuine audiences.

From creative and digital work to enterprise, sustainability, communications and operations, young people discover the people, skills and opportunities behind the industries shaping their future.

WHAT WE’VE SEEN SO FAR

Through hands-on placements, participants have gained practical industry experience, developed new creative and professional skills, and contributed to real work across Wear the Future.

“It pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me hands-on experience that I wouldn’t have gained in a classroom.”

“I gained genuine hands-on experience, real confidence, and a much clearer sense of what I want for my future.”

“The experience has given me more confidence in my abilities and made me feel better prepared for future roles in the creative industry.”

LIVE EXPERIENCE AND SCHOOLS

Bringing Real Work into Schools

Young people build confidence and develop skills when they have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibilities, contribute to real projects and learn alongside professionals.

Wear the Future brings these experiences into schools through a flexible programme built around creative, sustainable and entrepreneurial projects. By connecting classroom learning with real-world practice, we help young people explore their strengths, gain practical experience and see how their skills can translate into future opportunities.

The Integrated Model

Our model connects creativity, sustainability and employability through real-world projects and professional experiences. Students develop practical and transferable skills while discovering their strengths, exploring industry and understanding how their learning can connect to future pathways.

The programme adapts to young people's individual needs, combining wellbeing, tailored support, hands-on learning and industry exposure to make the experience meaningful, accessible and relevant to their aspirations.

From Experience to Future Pathways

The programme supports young people in translating their experiences into next steps, whether in further education, training, employment or continued participation. By combining practical learning with reflection, feedback and professional guidance, we aim to help young people build confidence, recognise their capabilities and make informed decisions about their futures.

WHAT MAKES OUR PROGRAMME DIFFERENT?

01 — INTEGRATED

We connect creative, commercial and operational learning within a structured programme that complements school priorities and careers education.

02 — REAL

Students work on real projects, challenges and outcomes, giving them experience beyond simulated classroom activities.

03 — CREATIVE

Students are encouraged to think, make, experiment and problem-solve, developing creative confidence alongside practical skills.

04 — PURPOSE-LED

Sustainability and social impact are embedded into the experience, helping students understand how creative and entrepreneurial ideas can contribute to wider change.

05 — CAREER-FOCUSED

Students develop skills and experiences that connect directly to the world of work, while gaining a clearer understanding of possible pathways.
