Wear the Future CIC
Thank you for your interest in completing a Live Experience Placement with Wear the Future. This agreement sets out our mutual expectations. This is a learning placement and is NOT a contract of employment.
About Wear the Future
Wear the Future is a live circular fashion and digital retail enterprise combining sustainable fashion, community engagement and real-world commercial practice.
Our placements provide hands-on experience across content creation, live streaming, e-commerce and sustainable retail operations, enabling students to develop portfolio-ready work and industry insight.
1. Placement Structure
We offer placement opportunities across four areas of expertise, with two placement formats available:
Part-time placement
1–2 days per week for 4–8 weeks
May–September 2026
(term-time compatible)
Full-time placement
6–8 weeks full-time
June–September 2026
(summer placement)
2. Our Commitment to You
As a placement participant, you can expect Wear the Future to:
Provide a clearly defined placement role and learning outcomes
Offer induction and ongoing guidance
Assign a named Designated Training Lead
Provide regular feedback and support
Ensure a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment
Offer opportunities to contribute to real projects and outputs
Provide access to relevant policies (Safeguarding, Privacy)
3. Your Commitment as a Participant
By joining the placement, you agree to:
Engage actively with the placement and assigned tasks
Act in line with the values and mission of Wear the Future
Follow safeguarding and conduct guidance
Maintain appropriate professional behaviour
Treat others with dignity and respect
Respect confidentiality and data protection requirements
Communicate availability and notify us of any changes
Take responsibility for your learning and participation
4. Learning & Experience
This placement is designed to:
Support development of portfolio-ready work
Provide real-world industry experience
Build skills across digital, creative and retail environments
Enable contribution to live commercial and public-facing outputs
5. Safeguarding
You confirm that you have:
Read and understood the Wear the Future Safeguarding Policyand agreed to report any safeguarding concerns immediately
Designated Safeguarding Lead: Eva Novillo safeguarding@wearthefuture.org
If someone is at immediate risk of harm, you understand that you must call 999.
For roles involving regular or unsupervised contact with under-18s or vulnerable adults, a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check may be required before placement begins.
4. Confidentiality and Data Protection
You agree to:
Handle personal information responsibly
Not share confidential information outside your role
Comply with Wear the Future’s Privacy Policy

5. Expenses
Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses may be reimbursed if agreed in advance and supported by receipts.
6. Ending the Placement
This placement arrangement may be ended:
By you at any time
By Wear the Future where appropriate
